Try a local copy of the DBC
How would this help? I still need to go to the server for the data.
Ok this intrigues me. I am using stonefield on the server. (All tables and databases reside there.)
How would I keep all users up to date with any changes made via stonefield?
Would it make more sense to create a separate dbc for the views only and move it local? (That way, I could recreate the view definitions on application load, if needed, and not worry about stonefield changes.)
Or am I complicating matters?
Ideas, anyone?
TIA,
Mike
BTW, Naomi, the anti-virus has been turned off both on the server and the local machines and there is no difference in performance.
