>Anyone else seeing an analogy here between Obama 08 and McGovern 1972? If he gets desperate enough, like 10 points+ down in the polls, do you think Biden wold resign for personal reasons and Hillary be placed on the ticket? I'm thinking it's a real possibility.

Not gonna happen. Although, Biden did say in a speech (yesterday or today) that Hillary was qualified to president, qualified to be vice president, and would have been a better choice than himself...

Perhaps they are putting feelers out there...

"Make no mistake about this," Biden responded. "Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Let’s get that straight. She’s a truly close personal friend, she is qualified to be president of the United States of America, she’s easily qualified to be vice president of the United States of America, and quite frankly, it might have been a better pick than me. But she’s first rate, I mean that sincerely, she’s first rate, so let’s get that straight."

I guess if Obama doesn't win, he's hoping next election he can be Hillary's VP candidate... :o)
