I want to say thanks to Bill Drew and all the nice folks who welcomed me in at the Chicago Foxpro User Group last Tuesday night. I was travelling to Chicago from Birmingham, Alabama and hooked up with Bill Drew via email before my arrival (I think he is the President of the group at this time). They happened to be meeting the week I was in town, so I joined in.

20 Foxpro super-enthusiasts were there, including Toni and Mike Feltman of F1. The did a test-run on their presentations for Southwest Fox on the .NET Extender for VFP (Toni), and JavaScript for VFP Developers (Mike).

They met at 5:30, and were still kicking it hard at 9:00 when I had to leave to meet my travelling partners for dinner. I almost cancelled on my travel partners just so I could stay (for some reason, none of them wanted to attend the meeting with me (they're not computers types at all)). Anyway, I must say the Chicago Chop House had awesome steaks, so it was a hard call deciding whether to leave the meeting a little early.

Anyway, thanks again new friends, and I hope to see many of you again at Soutwest Fox in October.
