>>Off topic (you're welcome), last night I read an excellent piece in Sports Illustrated about your local team, written by their top football writer, Peter King. He followed the Browns from the end of last season to the beginning of this one. Most of it you will probably know already but to me at least there was some good inside baseball stuff.

>Thanks, I'll see if i can find that on the website. I am suspicious the unusual number of IRs for the Browns has something to do with coaching, somewhere. Romeo just doesn't instill me will confidence. Personally, I always felt Bill Cowher was ordained by God to someday coach the Browns ...

That would be a perfect fit! It had not occurred to me but I think you're right. If he catches the unretirement bug that's going around I hope he winds up with the Browns. For whatever it's worth, he sounded sincere when he said he felt it was time to go and why. Some guys really do want to spend more time with their families.

The guy who came through the article well was Braylon Edwards, who I had sort of instinctively disliked because he played at Michigan (spit).

UPDATE: If you don't find the article online, I will hang onto it and send it to you. De nada.
