Many years ago when I still was plagued with moral ambiguity about good guys and bad guys a Special Forces guy in Luang Phrabang put it in perspective. "When the shooting starts it gets very simple - the guys shooting at you are the bad guys." And indeed, complexity has a way of sorting itself out :-)
