But they're capable of doing that twice a day, which is an accomplishment in its own right.

I seriously hate the AM/PM system; most of the time you need to look for an extra indicator. There are times when it's just dark and we don't exactly know the time of day. When I see 6:15, sometimes it's a problem to know the time of day. Did I just sleep all night and wake up too early, or is it dark already? We're programmers, everybody has had such a deadline driven series of days when you sleep when you must and wake up ASAP and have no clue where you are... and what time of day is it. The clock could help, and should.

Which is why I have not bought any of the few quite interesting digital thingies, simply because they were designed to be too stupid to know how many hours are there in a day. I settled for a simpler one, but capable of showing all 24 and even having a thermometer which can show the degrees (*) and the Fahrenheit.
