>I'm sorry, you're right. That does work, and I ran a simple form with just the editbox but linked it to my pre-defined custom editbox and my pre-defined custom form, and it still worked. But on my actual (much more complicated) forms, it doesn't work. There must be some kind of interaction that I'm not catching.

Could it be that some other code (say, on key labels or KeyPress in other controls - thought strangely it would have an effect) interferring with this EditBox behavior? Also do you have a PageFrame on this form? It may contribute to the problem.
