Currently I have the config file saved to the application directory (in program files) and Vista doesn't like that. Maybe the first thing I should do is to have the config file saved to the user directory (or all users).
I want to learn more. Any good links?

What harm could come of it?

I heard something about meta files. Do you know more about this?
