Over the weekend I was snooping around and I saw quite a few 42" HDTVs for as low as 399.00 with excellent picture quality and sound. They were only 720p though. I had to shop around to get the multiple connections I wanted and the HDTV tuner.

>Price and picture. Obviously I would have liked something sleeker but it seemed like the best value overall.

>>>Yes. It's this one -- http://www.dlptvreview.com/dlptv/jvc-hd52g786.html. It's rear projection so there is a lot of weight in back.

>>>You just watched them? You didn't plug them full or holes or anything? ;-)

>>>>Is it one of the 52" ones? :o) All it takes is two teens... I watched two take my neighbor's HDTV from his home one afternoon...

>>>>>>I think one of the biggest problems here in the U.S. these days is daytime break-ins in suburban neighborhoods. High school kids are breaking into homes during lunchtime and stealing anything they can grab to make money and then returning to school. Just about every house has an HDTV (light and easy to grab), ipods, xboxes, etc. They will even break into homes with alarms because they can get in and out so fast.

It uses the wiring already existing in your home/business to communicate with the PC. All you do is plug a camera into an outlet, plug the receiver into another outlet and then into a USB port and the software detects everything and you are ready to go. It will record anytime there is movement, and you can setup areas on the video to eliminate things like leaves moving in the wind from causing it to record. Just make sure you have a decent box to run it from. I made the mistake of trying to run it on less than a GB of memory. It had a hard time with that. Now I bought a new PC dedicated to it with 3GB ram and it works awesome.
