Hi Eric,
just throwing bits at you that come to my mind....
- Enter has an effect on controls other than the current and the form when the Default property is set to .T.
- You get the inverse effect (press Enter, cursor stays in same line, characters appear in the new line) when you use CHR(10)+CHR(13) as a line break instead of CHR(13)+CHR(10)
- Positioning of text and the caret depends on the SelStart and SelLength property. Writing to these controls does have an effect, even if you write back the original values.
