The number of shows where chimps are called monkeys, repeatedly, without anyone correcting the asserter, is REALLY p|ssing me off. Just this morning, watching "Just Shoot Me" over breakfast, I heard it again (and again), and cracked. I just HAD to say something to get it off my chest.

Tell me about it. But it beats listening to the news prog when I've 45 mins to listen to all that in the car, and the same news again on the way home.

Besides, it's not just that show that calls chimps monkeys. There was one episode of Friends (I seem to recall) where I became heartily sick of hearing Ross repeating "Monkey!", in his whiniest voice, over and over, and was not referring to the wee monkey he had as a pet (so "he" should have known better). Joey would have been forgiven, but Ross was a paleontologist, nicht wahr.

BTW, just before that is "Everybody Loves Raymond" which is one of your better shows. I love the hate/hate reln. of his parents particularly and a great cast all round.
