Ah, a "ranoranilac" - an earlyearler :). From "ko rano rani, dve srece grabi" - who early earlies, two lucks grabs" - and the verb raniti, "to [be] early" is here just to augment the effect. Our folks generally treat those who wake up late (after 6 AM :) as lazy. Well, used to. Nowadays, the 7:00-15:00 or 6:00-14:00 working hours aren't the norm they were once, when everybody went to their jobs early, so they could be home for lunch and then do some useful work :).
