Can you ?
The reason is different than you might think.. The difference between the living standards of east and western europe is still significant. There are a lot of immigrants from eastern europe working in agriculture and construction. Esspecially a lot of people from pollland. They are generally known as hard workers. Our economy is quite good at the moment despite the financial crisis. Only about 4% unemployment and a lot of employers cannot find suitable employees in The Netherlands themselves. Since any EU citizen can work and live anywhere in the EU without much problems, you see migration within the EU.
