After dealing with a spyware/bot last night and eradicating it with a program I downloaded from the web, I am having the following issue this morning.
I get this message, all of a sudden, that the Automatic Update is being processed and two buttons below the progress bar have a choice to "Restart computer now" or "Restart later". So far, I have stopped this process completely using Task Manager. But I want to stop it from starting. It seems to me that this automatic update comes from OS (XP SP2) but I am not sure. If this is OS type auto update, how can I disable it?
UPDATE: I just found Automatic Updates in the Control Panel. And I disabled it. I guess now I will see if this auto update I was getting this morning is from OS or from some other application.
