It is a way of indexing in full text mode, thus memo fields and character fields for example. This is not supported as is in the product. SQL Server does it however. In VFP, we have used 3rd party tools to achieve that. Some have used their one techniques. The tool I use here is no longer supported since a very long time.

The type of searches that it would allow is basically about searching on specific words within words, nearby matches, etc.
