You need a less fuzzy statement of requirements (s)

It may entail searching for specific words across multiple fields and/or tables - in which case you could use a table of indexed words.
It might mean searching for specific patterns across a piece of text - in which case you could use regular expressions.
It might mean a combination of both.
It might be something else.

The first two can be reasonable efficient. The third, AFAIK, not.
