Thanks, I think I figured it out -
x=filetostr(database.fpt)
= alines(myarr,x,1,chr(1))
VFP is wonderful. There are almost 1 million lines in the fpt file and this parses itself out in less than 30 seconds.
A problem is a problem only as long as it has a possible solution. Lacking that, it becomes a FACT!
