many thanks for the tip. Sending it as an attachment works. However, only the 1st page prints properly. The rest are kind of, shall we say, blended but at least the email is readable. Anyway, the plan is to change the email of reports to PDF but we need to slightly change the layout of all our reports because the font changes ever so slightly so that all numeric columns are just a bit too narrow resulting in '******'. There are over 200 reports in the system so this will take a while.
