It could have been worse. A friend of my daughter's walked out of his house (this is a relatively nice neighborhood - houses in the 150,000-200,000 range) about 8pm at night and caught a group of boys stripping his vehicle. They attacked him with baseball bats and tried to strangle him. They pulled their shirts over their faces and still managed to beat him all the way as he tried to run to the neighbor's house. When the neighbor answered the door, they finally ran off. They yelled at him that if he had 'stayed in his house' then they would have just left him alone and only stolen from his vehicle. Sadly, he 'thought' he recognized a couple of the voices and could see their hands of course. They took his cell phone and wallet then and used both that night. Of course, there was a camera on the ATM machine so it shouldn't be long...
