Have you made any progress on this? I think you may have mis-stated which edit mode you are using. Are you referring to "InPlace" or "EditForms"?

I have successfully wired up MM and RADGrid using the "InPlace" editing mode. If I toggle the edit mode to EditForms everthing still works so it appears to behave the same for either mode. At any rate, let me know if you still need an example and I'll see if I could put something together for you.
