>>>>What's the potential for putting symbols in fields on a VFP form? Given that a control can only be one font and that many symbols have to be done with something like the Symbol font or WingDings, it doesn't seem likely that it can be done. I have a client that has a list of 15 symbols they want to use "in fields" including Pi, Lambda, Delta, Summation, etc. Has anyone addressed this?

>Yeah you can put such values in a textbox. Of course if the symbols require ascii values from different fonts that might still present an issue for you. Have you considered using the microsoft rich-edit control? It's an .rtf enabled editbox - which you could resize to the size of a textbox - perhaps that would be another way to do this...

I guess I was looking for more of the specifics. I believe there's a way to enter the values. Something like hold down Alt and type the ascii value - I've done it before, but do it so rarely that I forget exactly how to do it. I figured I'd do something like give them a right-click menu to add the character. That's much easier for a user. And that, of course, would involve using the CHR() function. I assume this is similar to what you meant, however the problem is that the 15 or so symbols they want to use are not all in the same font. So the rich edit control could possibly be an option. But they also do some of the data entry in this application via the web browser control placed on a page of a page frame, so that may offer more flexibility. I haven't tried to mix fonts in a text box on an HTML form and I'm not sure, off-hand, if you can do it there. Thanks for the reply.
