The way I understand it, it's your lead in conjunction with your product team.

For those who don't know, the MVP lead works in Product Support Services. They are dedicated to working with the MVP program and are supposed to be the MVP's primary point of contact.

I thought it was our Microsoft MVP lead, but judging from the emails I've exchanged with him, I think they send it to some central committee ... or that might be only because we've had our C# MVP lead change hands 3 times this year. I wish we still had the original guy, Rafael Munoz ... I would have gotten rewnewed for sure. He liked me. =0)
