>>>It has been known for some years now that the Universe seems to be much, much greater than the visible part. What this article is saying is that there seems to be some huge accumulation of matter - perhaps dark matter - beyond the visible part, that is tugging at galaxies, in a certain direction. Somewhat similar to the Great Attractor, but on a larger scale.

>>The weird part is that they seem to be saying that it doesn't even matter what direction you look. Everything we can see is moving to the same spot. That would mean that some galaxies are actually moving toward us to get there, rather than away from us as I thought, no?

>The Universe is expanding, and far-away galaxies are receding from us, that much is for sure. I would say, superimposed on this are several other minor movements, like the movement toward the Great Atractor - or this recently announced movement.

Are they receding from us, or are we receding from them? If there is a Great Attractor (or whatever), then it implies that we are all moving in exactly the same direction ultimately. So we'd have to be receding from them in one direction, and they'd be receding from us in the other direction.
