Someone brought up a good point at the meeting with Robert Green. He said that n-tier apps require a lot of hand-coding. A single tier app in pure VFP benefits from more from RAD. If you are looking a pure productivity of coding, single tier can't be beat. Though you are painted into a corner (a bit) if you client says they want to run your app on the net with an Oracle back end. You will need a re-write.
