>I want to present a listbox and have the focus(highlighted) on a certain record. However I want that record to appear in the middle of the listbox. For some reason it appears at the bottom of the visible listbox by default.

(I've read down the thread, so have some idea what you're looking for.)

The TopIndex and TopItemID properties let you control which item is at the top of the list. There is no property for listboxes (only combos) that tells you how many items are displayed. You can probably work it out fairly accurately from the Height of the listbox and the FontMetric() function.
