>I have a Fox 2.6 application that runs 24/7. It is unattended. All it does is scan 12 predefined directories looking for a file. If it finds the file, it runs a query based on the info in the file. The performance on the machine is poor during the scanning process. Buying more hardware is not an option at this point. What I would like to try is: after the application scans the 12 directories, pause for a second or two and then resume scanning. However, I cannot figure out how to resume the process without user intervention. Any thoughts?
You could use INKEY(2) for a two seconds wait.
