Title:
Set Margin not working
Hello everyone,
I am converting an FPW2.6 system to VFP 9. We are hired to do only a functional conversion, meaning minimal effort just to get the system to work.
There is a very complex report that uses SET PRINTER ON and ? and ?? instead of the report writer. We do not want to have to recreate this if not necessary.
I have made some good headway so far. Using SET PRINTER TO NAME and SYS(1037) and GETPRINTERS and SET PRINTER ON and SET PRINTER TO, I have the report printing--even to Adobe.
However, the ? and ?? commands use the "AT" clause to specify the column. Of course, this report starts at column 0. To change the AT positions would be a big job.
I tried the SET MARGIN TO nn command (where nn is column number) but it has no affect.
Can this be set in the Windows print driver, perhaps using the approach used in setprtprops from the download section?
Any ideas?
TIA,
Dan
