>>Hi Bonnie.

>>>Well, gang ... this sucks, but I have NOT had my MVP status renewed this awards cycle (Oct. 1). I was kind of half-expecting it, because my community contributions have gone way down since about April, for lots of various reasons. But it still sucks. =0(

>>That does suck. I also wasn't renewed. It was a nice honor for 13 years.

>WHAT! First Bonnie, now you. Really weird decisions. I can't wait to see who else on the UT didn't get it.

>If you and Bonnie didn't get it I guess that's because there are HUGE changes in awarding those. I can imagine that we're up for a lot more surprises from MS with their MVP program.

The UT is not even a blip on the MVP radar. The actual measurement is how much community support (msdn forums, user groups, code camps, etc.), writing, teaching, traveling and presenting sessions and talks you do. Bonnie has admitted that she's slipped (for good reason) over the last year and that has hurt her in this regard. I agree that it is not right, but that's the metrics being used right now. She'll be reinstated again once her contribution level reaches the threshold again.
