I don't think there is any one place you can find this, but for years Microsoft has been saying that the development tools will merge. This doesn't mean one language, but common designers. ActiveX and COM will make this possible. It doens't make sense that all development tools spend resources on things that can be common. Take a look at how the last few versions of Office have evolved...especially Office 2000 and you'll see the same thing...common modules among all the tools. The most visible are the spell checker and graph. This is taken a step further in Office 2000, where the addins can be common across all products.
