The jumpstarts begin by having you use one of the MM.Net project templates. It seems that the templates hook up some code behind the scenes that allows the seamless connection. However, I don't want to use the MM.Net project templates. I would just like to create my own console app or web application project app, but use the MM.Net business objects. Is this possible?
Yes this is possible. You would just have to do some things yourself but not a big deal. A business object can still retrieve your data and return it to your console application. The templates for Windows gives you support for binding, security, language, etc. If you call for instance:
using MyCompany.MyApplication.Business;
private CustomerBizObj oCustomer;
oCustomer = new CustomerBizObj();
DataSet dsCustomer = oCustomer.GetDataSet("SELECT * FROM Customers");
That will still return you a dataset.
If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask.
