Abraham Lincoln, in his First Inaugural Address (4 March 1861) said:
"While the people retain their virtue and vigilance, no administration, by any extreme of wickedness or folly, can very seriously injure the government in the short space of four years."
And hence, I worry not who the next president will be, but only about the people, for virtue and vigilance are not hallmarks of society today.
