Also, to test our backup domain controller we first restarted WIN SERVER 2003 (our old domain controller) and immediately logged in to a production server on the network, hoping that our new domain controller (WIN SERVER 2008) having Active Directory Services would allow for us to log in to the production server.

We could not log in to the production server until, WIN SERVER 2003 (our old domain controller) was fully rebooted......

What could we be missing?
