If you want to show the map in a desktop app and a static map is good enough for the situation look at this site: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/staticmaps/

After studying the Google API the simplest solution I found was to create a URL string in the format described in the page above, and use it to bring down the map in a GIF format. If an error occurrs you get an HTML formatted error message. You can show the map in an UI ActiveX object within a VFP form.
