Quite possibly, even likely. Speaking for myself, if I have some code that works, I don't throw it away if I want to try something new - I'll remark it out. If the new doesn't work, it's then easy to compare to the old. I was thinking, maybe he's done the same thing.

Since it looks like he's trying to change his logon/authentication method he'll still need to check that the instance supports the method he's trying.
