I always found it interesting that it was speculated that she was responsible for the mathematics. In her early school years she excelled in mathematics but when she tested for the Polytechnic she did not. I don't recall reading any explanation for that...

Still, when I was in high school one of my teachers believed (very strongly) that she was almost equally responsible for those papers he submitted.

Back in those days I excelled in mathematics and he was constantly pushing me so I thought he was embellishing her role in order to get me to work harder :o) He was actually my calc and trig teacher.
