Well I was using the 3.51 one and have noticed the same thing. Since I wasn't creating views 'on the fly' I just lived with it during the development process. I didn't spend a huge amount of time trying to figure out why it was taking so long to create the views but I assumed it was running the select statement as it created the view or something....
