when i try and rebuild indexes on VFP 5.0a or VFP 3.0 on the network disk i get a "disk out of space" error and both help files state that i am trying to extend a file that has no owner

then i should "assign an owner to the file" first

how do i assign an owner to a file ?

do i open it with low level file functions under shared use ?

we are running NetWare v4 runtime library on LANtastic dedicated Server
