Hi Dragan,

Yep, we are thinking along the same lines. I turned on the Trace function in the ODBC Manager, then ran that small sample app that I posted and immed. turned the trace back off again. It generated a 300K log file. I must admit that while some things in that log are understandable to me other things are not, and while I can get the general "idea" of what is going on I am certain that the log file contains many nuances etc. that are beyond me!

My hope is that I can identify why this is happening.. If it is a MSFT VFP issue, my guess is I'm "SOL"! Besides the status of VFP, they would no doubt say "It works with MS-SQL!"... But if it turns out to be some anomaly in the way the VFP communicates with the MySQL ODBC Connector and I can illustrate that to the MySQL folks they may be able to help as they have provided OPTION switches to accommodate other dev environments..
