I suppose you need an alternative for e-mail, if a file is fairly big. I use www.yousendit.com. With the free service:
  • You can send up to 100 MB at a time.
  • The recipient gets an email with a URL, to download the file (you get a copy of the URL, which you can send by other means, e.g. MSN Messenger).
  • The file remains stored for a week.

And yes, there was some similar service, it may have had "drop" in its name - but I can't remember it either.

Update: I have it in my bookmarks - it WAS dropload.com. Now, the site only says "dropload will return shortly".
