Consolas was designed specifically for source code editing. I've been using it for a couple of years.

>Last month I saw a presentation by Rick Schummer at our user group and I asked him what font he was using because it looked really nice for presentations. He said it was CONSOLAS. I have since changed my development environment around to that and I use it on a daily basis. It's great!
