which has been working for years. Now I get a 'Property FILES not found' error on this line. The debugger shows Application.Project appears to be the valid and correct project; .FILES is an object but .FILES.Count gives 'Expression could not be evaluated'. This isn't project specific - I get the identical error in another project. Also, at least AFAICS, there's no #INCLUDE that could mess this up and if I step out of the code the project opens normally with all files listed.

Hmmm. First time it's ever happened to me. Showed no sign of going away either :-{
As mentioned elsewhere I ended up uninstalling/reinstalling VFP at which point this problem (and the problem with the code reference tool) went away. I don't think the problem was with the project files. I was getting the same problem with more than one project and they were all simultaneously cured. My instinct on these occasions is to keep digging to identify the source of the problem - in this instance to practicalities precluded it so I guess I may never know.....
