Again, MVP is NOT an industry award. It is a Microsoft award. Any company can thank customers however they want as long as it is legal.

Yes, I referred to it as a MS award. As I (and other posters) keep saying, nobody objects if MS decides to reward people or appoint them as advisors. However, as I also keep saying, the award seems to annoint experts as well. It is unusual in any industry for a vendor to decide who the experts are- even in use of the vendor's own tools.
