Let's not forget, though, why the program was created: to shift tech support from paid Microsoft employees to user support. At the time of the program's inception Microsoft had hundreds, if not thousands, of employees working in customer support. Not many now, are there? It was a cost saving move, and a very successful one. This is why originally the only criteria AFAIK was online user support.

>Sure, the program may have evolved and changed over the years, as most things do. I'm just saying let's not forget why there is an MVP program in the first place.

While I appreciate the efforts of those who do participate in the many different avenues being evaluated by MSFT, I still think the frontline 'online' support should hold the most weight. It's that online support that people go to when they need help that will keep them using MSFT products and I think it should hold the most weight. I may learn alot during a codecamp or just see some neat things, and I may learn from a whitepaper or article, but when I'm in the middle of figuring out how to accomplish a business requirement in code with a deadline, it's the person who donates their help online I appreciate the most and who helps me keep my salary. That will keep me using the development tool as well.

There are some who are more dedicated in that avenue, and Bonnie has always been one of them.
