>>Maybe I have been under a misimpression. I thought the Euro is now the currency of Europe -- you spend Euros, you get paid in Euros, and there are no local exchange rates to the Euro. No?

>I wasn't referring to the countries which switched to the euro but all countries and trying to figure out the actual cost of goods in each country. I guess in those countries which do use the euro for their official currency, they would get paid in euros. But what does a euro buy in France compared to Italy? That is what I was trying to determine.

Make one money doesn't bring one price for things. I'm sure New York expensive than your city.

I know people buy german cars outside of Germany because of taxes and bring them to Germany. Because there is no customs but new car taxes expensive at Germany from some EU countries.

BTW I know you can use Mark yet too...
