I am looking into .NET certification programs, and found MCSD. The thing that has me confused is the official site on MCSD requirements (http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcsd/requirementsdotnet.mspx) says all the core exams will "retire" in March 2009. What I don't see is what these exams will be replaced with. Can someone explain to me what is going on? Is MCSD even the certification I should be looking at?

PS -- What I am not looking for is a philosophical debate on whether to certify or not. Of course I realize no one can stop anyone from talking about anything here ;-) I just feel that in my particular set of circumstances -- which is expecting to become quite knowledgeable about .NET but not having any work experience to show in order to get that first .NET job -- certification might be useful.

Thanks in advance!
