Obviously, Ipod\Itunes but 99 cents a pop can get a little expensive, especially for a young child who's tastes change constantly. Can anybody recommend any subscription-based players or plans?

It's not going to get her free music, but it'll play whatever mp3s you do get very nicely. Mostly I just used to rip CDs for it.

>Nope. Black and macho (it does video too). Anyway, I'd suggest not spending the dollars on an iPod. Just get a good MP3 player. iTune downloads are easy to convert to MPs - even the supposedly protected ones.

Yeah, I recommended a Creative model to them. My wife got an IPod a few months ago and I hate the stupid thing. I'm not a big fan of them locking you into their software.
