Dallas School District will layoff over a thousand teachers because they are facing $84,000,000.00 budget deficit. Public schools are in such bad shape.. and who runs these major school district? for decades, democrats. Isn't it time for a CHANGE?

>>>I have to agree with you there. Entrenched bureaucracies who resist change are not admirable to me, no matter what their politics are. There was a very interesting piece in Newsweek a few weeks ago about the young head of the DC school system (one of the country's worst). Here it is -- http://www.newsweek.com/id/154901. Note the quote near the end about her feeling embarrassed as a Democrat about how Democrats have been running schools. You can see what a battle she is facing.
