however, based on your reply, does it mean that if the printer does not support the custom defined page size i will not be able to print cheques from that printer ??

if that be the case then, how can i go about printing cheques on the said printer (HP3030 LaserJet) as the client has only this printer at their premises.

i would greatly appreciate if you could suggest a suitable solution/alternative
