Hi Sergio,I agree that VFPx rocks, I use my self several of the projects and the work of the people involved there is amazing. I don't want to cause any polemic or division about it, is just the way I think and feel about it, and I like to express it. :)

Cheers

Luis

>>Also about VFPx, I haven't had the time to send the document, and to be honest I'm not sure if I want to, I don't like the fact of some of them protecting some existing commercial applications and some not, I think that kind of behavior scares and disappoint a lot of VFP Developers to participate. I know anyone can start their own project in Codeplex, but for example if ActiveVFP were accepted in VFPX I'm sure will have much more attention from VFP developers around the world. Also, after reading Doug reply on my message I'm not sure, PDFx will compete with XFRX, FRX2ANY, and all the others. But you never know what future will bring.

>I have to say that I agree up to the point with VFPx non-competing policy. Way I look at it;
>There is no point in developing/submitting Free Project if there is good, reasonably priced commericial tool which does exactly the same or better then what free candidate project could possibly do.
>Just like there is no point in protecting weak (half dead) commercial product by blocking vivid VFPx candidate.
>
>To keep this community upbeat, we need good vendors keeping their products alive, just as we need new VFPx
>projects doing new cool stuff.
>
>As I described above, 'justice' or 'good cause' can be hurt both ways, therefore you cannot go/judge strictly 'by the book'
>as army does... It has to be run on a case-by-case bases and by applying good judgment and common sense.
>I believe that up to now VFPx mgm did good job in terms of doing exactly that, rather then blindly folowing 'non-compete' rule.
>
>As far as ActiveVFP is concearned, perhaps whole issue had some personal connotations which we don't really know, so it should not be used as to judge VFPx handling in general. At the end of the day ActiveVFP is out there anyway.
>As for 'Project visibility' in today state of VFP community, it is good to have it but I believe that role of it is somewhat overrated
>(everybody knows already all VFP related products!) and not realy major factor weather project will succeed or not.
>
>It is project quality/usability itself that is major factor.
>
>VFPx Rocks by all means, and it is excellent thing happening to this community, so last thing we should do
>is get into polemics and divisions about it. We should all support VFPx / VFPy and any other venue that keeps
>VFP alive & kicking :)

>>By the way, thanks for your work on ReportSculptor I have not try it yet in a real deep way, I hope to do it soon and if I have suggestions let you know.

>Now... If you decide to team up with Dorin, and fix those font strike-through / underline problems on Hary wrapper...
>THAT would be what I call good community spirit {g}

I never forget a face, but in your case I will make an exception :-)
