I don't think I ever said that. I think the people representing us do a very poor job and have interest other than those of the people corrupting them. I think there were MANY responsible parties to this mess, and it was condoned with a wink and a nod (and a bag of cash) by our distinguished representatives. There is just so much greed, corruption, and incompetence that our government is no longer functional. But don't get me wrong, Masters of the Universe, Wall Street types are the ones who orchestrated and engineered the house of cards and knew the inevitable outcome even while they were doing it, which makes it criminal.

A real cynic would say it was a planned conspiracy to engorge the rich at the public expense
